Hello, world! It’s Anne Vu.
I’m a digital artist from Adelaide, Australia - currently based in Vancouver, Canada.
Growing up with 3 technophile siblings, I've always had a fascination for creating things with computers. It all began with an attempt to help a relative on her high school I.T. homework, at the age of 10, where I accidentally discovered a joy in coding, web design, and graphic design. A couple of years later, I was gifted a drawing tablet on my birthday and eventually became invested with illustration, digital painting, and 2D animation. My studies in Bachelor of Media Arts opened me to more traditional forms of media, where I found a lot of inspiration in the history of visual culture and filmmaking. I enjoy doing a bit of everything now and then, but photography and filmmaking is now where I find myself most.
I currently work as a compositor in visual effects for film and TV - something that intertwines most of my passions.
In my spare time, I like to venture out and shoot with my Nikons, producing many digital and analog photographs of which you may find here. Some nights I’ll drive a couple of hours away from city lights to stargaze through my telescope. There are many things that inspire me in my digital art and filmmaking background, but the mysteries and realness of Mother Nature is what I live for most.
